"Setting up groups"

Is it possible to set up groups of users to run reports on within Sawmill? For example, I have 320 users in 10 different departments. I would like to run reports per department. Is there a way to group a set of users within a filter so I don't have to constantly check and uncheck users? If this isn't possible currently, what are the chances of having this feature added in the next builds? Everything is working great so far, except I would like the group functionality. Thanks!

Currently we don't have a way to split a profile by "groups" and associate certain "filters" to the groups. The best method is to set up distinct profile for each of the departments, and point them all to the same database.

A groups feature like you've described will not be added in upcoming builds, however, it's more likely be part of version 8. Currently the group support can be achieved by limiting the profiles a user can access, as I've said the "filters" do not get "carried" along with a user or a group they are profile specfic.
