Hello, I have recently upgraded to 8.6.1 and I am unable view reports on one specific profile . Internal SawMill DB. Issue in the Task Log: Timeout while waiting for IPC file to appear Any thoughts? Bimal |

LAST EDITED ON Apr-28-13 AT 04:11 PM (PDT) David,I upgraded to 8.6.1.3 thinking the following issue is resolved <1275344> Enhanced LDAP login plug-in so user roles and profile permissions can be managed through the Sawmill web interface, and will not be overwritten each time by the LDAP login. I have one large profile about 85GB created via "8.6.0.2" and I am unable to view any reports/ report options for this profile. It took over 10 mins to load the database info page. It has the latest entries till 29/APr. Overall it's very slow compared to past experience. Our Setup: Win2k8 <64bit> / 24GB / 4 vCPUs. |

We have not seen any performance degradation associated with version 8.6.1. If it took 10 minutes to load a Database info page, I wonder if your database didn't get corrupted during the update. I assume you do not have any virus scanning software running on the system that hasn't excluded the Sawmill directory. If you run this command from the command line, do you get results printed to the console: sawmill -p <profile_name> -a pv msgilden Sawmill Support |

The database seems sound, since you can get numerical field data for the proper date range. For troubleshooting purposes, can you email support@sawmill.net and attach a copy of this profile: \Sawmill 8\LogAnalysisInfo\profiles\railcorp_cityrail_local.cfg and also a copy of the Task Log: \Sawmill 8\LogAnalysisInfo\TaskLog Please reference forum post 4698 msgilden Sawmill Support |
