"Ubuntu 7.1 64-bit install"
 
   I do not see a download for Ubuntu specifically. Can I install Sawmill on Ubuntu 7.1 Server? And which download do I use?

Hi-

Yes, you can definitely install Sawmill on Ubuntu.

Best thing to do is pull down the Sawmill encrypted source, this is the last selection in the download link pull down for a platform. From there unpack and build a custom install of Sawmill for your specific system.

   Got it installed via these commands:

sudo aptitude install build-essential
wget http://www.sawmill.net//download/sawmill/7.2.14/sawmill7.2.14_crypt_src.tar.gz
gunzip -c sawmill7.2.14_crypt_src.tar.gz | tar xf -
cd sawmill-7.2.14
sudo ./configure
sudo make sawmill

Now I just have to figure out how to start it.

Should be able to run it directly from the command line: ./sawmill
