"MDaemon 9"
|
Greetings, I've searched and found a few comments regarding MDaemon's version 9. From what I can tell, this product would be perfect for us, but I haven't seen where Sawmill yet supports later versions of MDaemon. Can anyone tell me if they support this yet? Thanks! Rick

I could send a log, I suppose, but I'm not sure which one sawmill uses. Is it the all log? Also, I see that some of the messages on this same subject, (MDaemon 9), are at least a year old and you requested they send you their logs as well. Is this some kind of a customization? Oh, and finally, is your product designed in such a way that it could be tweaked by the customer or do you have a pricing schedule for doing this? Thanks! Rick

Hi- I'm not sure which file is the one to process in the MDaemon folder, but I do recall that there is one that we specifically support in Sawmill for MDaemon 7+8, if you paste the directory listing that might jar my memory, Is there a file with "all" in the file name? If you have seen a previous posting, it's possible we may have added support, though I would generally expect us to update the name of the plug-in, so it's possibly we may or may not have received a log sample. In general we want to support all versions, and this is an existing format we support so if the increase in version # has the plug-in not process your version then I think we want to support that latest version too. In general you can tweak the Sawmill plug-ins, they are located in the Sawmill install folder, LogAnalysisInfo/log_formats and there's documentation about how to create your own log format plug-in. This information can be used to tweak the existing plug-in. Here's a link to the documentation for custom plug-in development. http://sawmill.net/cgi-bin/sawmill7/docs/sawmill.cgi?dp+docs.technical_manual.customformats

Hello. What you need is the Statistics log file from MDaemon. That file includes a one-row information for each activity of the mail server. Other log files are not formated as one-row, and include transcripts of the activities. HTH. |
